Scott Myles

Scott Myles is an artist born in Dundee, Scotland.

His work has been exhibited in museums, and galleries around the world including Secession, Vienna; Kunsthalle Zurich, Zurich; Tate Britain, London; Tate Modern, London; Dundee Contemporary Arts, Dundee; Fondation Galeries Lafayette, Paris; Museum Kurhaus Kleve, Kleve; Tate Liverpool, Liverpool; Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; The Menil Collection, Houston; Gallery of Modern Art, Glasgow; and Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, Edinburgh. His artworks are held within many private, and permanent public collections including Tate Gallery, London; The Museum of Modern Art, New York; Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, Edinburgh, The British Council Collection, London and The Hammer Museum, Los Angeles. Myles has undertaken residencies in The Netherlands, USA, India, France, Spain and the UK. He has lectured and spoken at UPenn, Philadelphia; Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Kunste Karlsruhe; The Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art, Oxford; St Andrews University, St Andrews; Glasgow School of Art, Glasgow; OTIS College of Art & Design, Los Angeles; Art Center, Los Angeles; USC Roski School of Fine Art Master’s Program, Los Angeles; The Common Guild, Glasgow; Transmission Gallery, Glasgow; University of British Columbia, Vancouver.

He was a research fellow at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design from 2013 – 2018, and was awarded two Andrew W. Mellon Research Fellowships (2016 and 2019).

Scott Myles currently lives and works in Glasgow, Scotland.
