Roomerical

Roomerical is a cloud-based acoustic simulation platform that enables acousticians and architects to predict the acoustics of a space under design, in order to fix defects and issues before building projects begin, saving valuable time and money.

Roomerical

Roomerical was created by Dr Brian Hamilton, part of the Acoustics and Audio Group at University of Edinburgh. Dr Hamilton also won one of the Scottish Edge “Wild Card Edge” awards, for additional funding to support a  Roomerical.

The start-up is the result of an ERC-funded project WRAM (Wave Based Room Acoustics Modelling), concerned with state-of-the-art architectural acoustics simulation. The aim of Roomerical’s Resident Entrepreneur project (R2, 2019) was to adapt the acoustic simulation technology they have developed, for use in the Film and TV industry.
