Produced Moon is a collaboration between its two Co-Artistic Directors, queer neurodivergent theatre and digital artist Leonie Rae Gasson and digital storyteller and creative mathematician Melanie Frances.
Melanie Frances was part of Cohort 8 of Creative Bridge before successfully applying to the Resident Entrepreneur programme in July 2022. Through the RE project, Produced Moon designed a new service for local councils and arts organisations to develop VR360 films exploring climate justice with teenagers from schools across the country. The programme provided the time and resources to focus on the production process for the films, whilst they also completed crucial market research and a business strategy focused on fundraising and promotion for their MVP.
In 2023, Produced Moon was successful in its application to CI’s Community Creative Tech Fund which allowed them to purchase new VR equipment for use in their own work with young people and artists, whilst also serving as an income stream via equipment hire.
