Creative Informatics has been awarded additional funding by the Arts & Humanities Research Council (part of UK Research & Innovation) to support investment in capital projects (buildings and/or rent, facilities, technology, equipment, software and maintenance, etc.) which support our legacy as a project and further the equality, diversity, and inclusion impact of creative data driven innovation in our region.
During spring 2023 we will be sharing a number of funding calls and are looking for inclusive projects that will make a real difference to diverse communities and enable new and more inclusive opportunities for creative innovation in Edinburgh and South East Scotland. The calls we will be sharing are:
- The Creative Informatics Participant & Alumni Creative Tech Fund – Now closed.
- The Community Creative Tech Fund, in partnership with the Creative Community Hubs project – Now closed.
- The Creative Informatics Inclusive Innovation Working Spaces Fund – supporting professional accommodation for creative tech and data driven start ups and SMEs in Edinburgh and South East Scotland – Now open!
Please follow links in order to view the criteria and eligibility for each call as it goes live. We would also encourage you to read more about our approach to equality, diversity and inclusion in our policy and action plan, which has informed our work and this specific set of funding calls.
We welcome questions about these calls, including any additional support you may need in making your application. You can reach us through our contact page or by emailing creativeinformatics@ed.ac.uk.
The funding also enables us to invest in equipment that enables work with diverse communities, including support for Creative Edinburgh’s work with diverse creative communities, and acquisition of a body scanner to be housed at the University of Edinburgh and be used in inclusive and innovative academic fashion/body tech research as well as industry collaborations and R&D.
