Stephen Roe is director of Stageport, recipient of an RSE fellowship in 2018 and founder of The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s first spin out company. Stephen has worked extensively in the Scottish arts sector as a technical manager and production manager with Scottish Opera and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Since founding Stageport, Stephen has designed and led innovation projects with support from Creative Scotland and Scottish Futures Trust, and has worked with leading producers such as Edinburgh International Festival and The National Theatre of Scotland.

Stephen has established a network of co investigators over the last two years to explore how the arts can exploit digital content and take advantage of new technology.
