Resident Entrepreneurs

The Resident Entrepreneurs programme matches individuals or teams of creative practitioners who want to develop new products or services using data or data-driven technologies with Host Organisations that will provide office space, insight and support. Both Host Organisations and Resident Entrepreneurs can benefit from this unique opportunity to learn from each other’s working processes, experience, and expertise.

Applications for round 2 Resident Entrepreneurs are now closed. Applications for round 3 will open in April 2020.

Become a Resident Entrepreneur

If you are an individual or a small team and would like to develop a new product or service using data or data-driven technology, we can provide funding of up to £12000 and match you with a Host Organisation that will provide office space and mentoring for the duration of your residency. Resident Entrepreneurs will work independently within Host Organisations, however, there will be plenty of opportunity for mutually beneficial knowledge exchange. As a Resident Entrepreneur you will also be matched with a mentor from the creative industries to support you during your residency.

Become a Host Organisation for a Resident Entrepreneur

Hosting a Resident Entrepreneur offers a unique opportunity to bring new perspectives and ideas into your organisation, working alongside individuals or teams that are developing innovative data-driven products and services. If you have an interest in a particular area of data-driven innovation, we will match you with an individual or team of Resident Entrepreneurs with a similar focus.

We welcome enquiries from potential Host Organisations for our Round 2 or future Resident Entrepreneurs. If you would like to discuss becoming a Host Organisation, please contact the Creative Informatics team who will be happy to help.

Please refer to the Resident Entrepreneurs Guidance Document for more information on what being a Host Organisation involves, including eligibility criteria and selection process.
