If you didn’t make it along to the early editions of our Friday Forum event series with Visual Arts Scotland, here’s what you missed…
Friday Forum is a series of online sharing events for creatives of all disciplines, delivered by the Creative Informatics team in partnership with Visual Arts Scotland. Friday Forum was established to support individuals in the creative industries facing a loss of income due to Covid-19. Each Friday Forum features four contributors who showcase snippets of their work, give virtual tours around their studio spaces, talk about a particular topic or theme, or provide insights into their creative practice or career.
Friday Forum 1
The first ever Friday Forum took place on the 24th of April and was hosted by Sarah Calmus from Visual Arts Scotland and Creative Informatics Director Chris Speed. Our contributors were ceramicist Kevin Andrew Morris, Creative Informatics researcher and artist Inge Panneels, Topaz Pauls from Reconfigure Life Drawing, and music producer Ben Seal.
Friday Forum 2
The second edition of Friday Forum took place on the 8th of May and was hosted by Sarah Calmus from Visual Arts Scotland and Creative Informatics Programme Manager Nicola Osborne. Our contributors were artist and designer Juli Bolaños-Durman, theatre critic and writer Mark Fisher, artist Lisa McDonald, and spoken word artist Jenny Lindsay.
Friday Forum 3
The third Friday Forum took place on the 15th of May and was hosted by Sarah Calmus from Visual Arts Scotland and Creative Informatics Research Fellow Inge Panneels. Our contributors were designer and founder of Make Bank Kirsty Thomas, sound artist and graphic designer Dave House, designer Isla Munro, and games designer and consultant Brian Baglow.
We’ll have more Friday Forum videos coming very soon – in the meantime, sign up for Friday Forum 11, taking place online, on Friday the 17th of July from 3pm – 5pm. If you have questions about any of our previous Friday Forum contributors, please contact the Creative Informatics team at email@example.com.
