We are on the lookout for developers, designers and innovators interested in taking part in an ETHLocal residency with the Creative Informatics team in May/June 2021!
Creative Informatics is delighted to be taking part in this year’s ETHLocal residency programme. As a host (Citadel), we are looking for a resident (Pilgrim) interested in developing a project on the Ethereum Blockchain, to bring positive disruption to the creative industries. If you’re interested in making a meaningful difference to the well-being, economic sustainability, and growth potential of creative SMEs and entrepreneurs in Edinburgh and South East Scotland, this could be the project for you.
We would encourage applications from individuals that are interested in one or more of the following:
- New forms of value and/or value constellations
- New ways to derive value from and increase engagement with data (including digital archives)
- New creative business models and/or new models to collaborate/exchange within the creative industries
How will our CI ETHLocal Residency work?
If Covid-19 restrictions allow, we can offer the successful candidate space in our offices at the Bayes Centre, access to our fabrication facilities (3D printing, laser scanning, etc) and our event and exhibition space, Inspace. In addition to support from the Creative Informatics team you will have the opportunity to connect and work with CI and Design Informatics researchers and students (a lovely creative group), and an extensive network of SMEs/entrepreneurs in our CI community, including those working on new design/creative-led cryptocurrency projects. Accommodation and meals will be supported by the Creative Informatics programme in discussion with the successful ‘Pilgrim’.
Applications are open now and close on the 1st of March 2021. If you have any questions about applying for this opportunity, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
